CERT Solutions are working with a two-form entry primary school in Great Barr who are looking for a Year 4 teacher to join their team on a full-time basis after the February half-term.

This role is perfect for an experienced teacher or an ECT (Early Career Teacher) who is and confident in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils. The successful candidate will take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment, while working collaboratively with the parallel Year 4 teacher and wider school team.

This role will be paid to scale from day one, meaning dependent on experience, the daily rate would be between £162 and £223.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress, providing feedback to support development
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the Year 4 team to share best practices and resources
  • Liaising with parents and guardians to discuss pupil progress and development
  • Participating in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities where required

Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have previous experience teaching KS2, preferably in Year 4
  • Be confident in lesson planning and curriculum delivery
  • Have strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
