CERT Solutions are working with a ‘Good’ rated, three-form entry primary school in Tyseley who are searching for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The school are looking to meet qualified teaching assistants who have a good knowledge of phonics, as the role will involve supporting small groups of children with their language skills. The ideal person will have previous experience in a Year 1 class, or at the very least have extensive KS1 experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity is full time, 8.30 – 3.30, Monday to Friday. It is to start after February half term and will run until the end of the academic year in July.
Daily rate between £85 – £100 per day.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation
- Supporting children with their social and emotional development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- A passion for supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skill
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
