Description
CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a friendly primary school in Erdington. This full-time role will involve working closely with children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), supporting their individual learning and development needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Autism, helping them access the curriculum.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities to meet the needs of students with ASC.
- Implement individualized support plans (IEPs) and strategies designed to enhance the social, emotional, and academic growth of children with Autism.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, encouraging positive interactions and communication.
- Monitor and record progress, working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents/carers.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Autism, preferably in a UK school or educational setting.
- Understanding of ASD and experience with implementing support strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
