CERT Solutions are searching for a Site Supervisor/Caretaker to join a thriving nursery school in Newtown, Birmingham. This vital role helps to ensure the nursery is a secure and clean environment where the children can flourish every day.
This role is perfect for an experienced site supervisor who is looking to work part time. The hours will be 6.30-8.30am, Monday to Friday.
It will also be a long term role for the right candidate.
Salary: £14 – £17 per hour, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening the nursery premises each morning and ensuring they are ready for the day’s activities.
- Performing routine safety and security checks, including alarm system monitoring and locking/unlocking doors.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in shared spaces, such as outdoor areas, entrances, and classrooms.
- Reporting and addressing minor maintenance issues promptly, and liaising with external contractors as needed.
- Assisting with general site upkeep, ensuring a safe and positive environment for children and staff.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a site supervisor/caretaker is essential.
- Must be committed to consistent early-morning hours.
- Ability to identify and address potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Basic knowledge of DIY or maintenance work is an advantage.
- A positive attitude and ability to interact courteously with staff and visitors.
