Are you passionate about inclusive education and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential?

CERT Solutions are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENDCo to join a warm and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Handsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed individual to lead on SEND provision, making a significant impact on the learning and development of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school, ensuring high standards of support for all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement tailored education plans (EHCPs) that meet individual pupil needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support pupils effectively.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring interventions are effective and reviewing strategies regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including maintaining accurate records and reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo).
  • Proven experience working with SEND pupils, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting the development of every child.
