CERT Solutions are working with a welcoming, one-form entry school in the heart of Digbeth who are seeking a dedicated SENCo to join their team starting in January 2024.
As the SENCo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the schools SEN provision. Working closely with students, teachers, parents, and external agencies, you will develop tailored strategies to support pupils with special educational needs.
This is a full-time position, and you will have dedicated time to manage the role effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the SEN provision across the school, ensuring high standards of support for all SEN pupils.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Engage with parents and carers, offering guidance and support as needed.
- Liaise with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Track and monitor the progress of SEN students, ensuring continuous improvement and adapting strategies as required.
Requirements
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN support.
- A National Award for SEN Coordination (or commitment to obtaining one).
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience implementing it in a school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Passionate about fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all children.
