CERT Solutions are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely two-form entry primary school in Handsworth.
This is a full-time role, starting after the October half-term.
Working a mix of 1:1 and small group support, you will ideally have previous experience working with children who have autism and ADHD. SEN school experience would be preferable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs across all year groups (ASC/ADHD)
- Assisting class teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with learning, behavioral, or physical difficulties
- Contributing to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Minimum of a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months UK School experience
- A strong understanding of SEN strategies and support
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, compassionate attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s educational and emotional development
