CERT Solutions are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in SEN provisions in Tipton/Dudley/Sandwell. The schools support learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder and challenging behavior.

Overview

  • Supporting and supervising learners with ASD, PDA, Global delay Disorder or Challenging Behaviour
  • Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
  • Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
  • Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch
  • Engage learners with both classroom and out of classroom activities
  • Work in accordance to the school’s behavior management policies

What you’ll need to be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant

  • At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings – experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
