CERT Solutions are working with a lovely two-form entry primary school in Lozells who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception with additional needs.
This full-time position (Monday – Friday, term time only) involves working 1:1 with a Reception-aged child with behavioural needs. The ideal candidate will be able to support the child in managing their emotions, social interactions, and engagement in learning.
Experience within SEN schools or mainstream school resource bases is preferred as the role will involve implementing strategies to support positive behaviour and learning outcomes, whilst working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support.
This role is to start ASAP.
Requirements

Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly with behaviour management

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or similar)

A patient, calm, and nurturing approach

Strong communication and de-escalation skills

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
