CERT Solutions are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in one-to-one support for children with complex SEND, ASD, and personal care needs. The school, a primary school based in Coventry is OFSTED rated good and has a warm and welcoming staff base.
The ideal candidate will be patient, active, enthusiastic, and highly motivated. A strong commitment to inclusive education is essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within our friendly, dynamic, and successful school. Your role will be vital in helping every child achieve their best possible outcomes.
The working hours for this position are 8:30am – 3:30pm and the school are looking for someone to start ASAP, full time long term until summer 2025.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with complex SEND, including ASD and personal care needs, preferably on a 1:1 basis.
- A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, or equivalent experience in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development, special educational needs, and strategies for supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and students, with experience working across early years and primary phases.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching staff, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping children reach their full potential, with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy school setting.
