CERT Solutions are a family run 5* education agency that specialise in flexible day cover, short/long term roles, as well as fixed term contracts and permanent positions within schools!
We are working on behalf of an OFSTED rated GOOD mainstream primary school near Aston, looking for an experienced SEN practitioner/teaching assistant to support in their SEN hub. This role is due to start ASAP, but the school can wait until after Easter, so the desired candidate needs to be able to start ideally ASAP.
To be considered you must have some experience teaching children/young people with SEND in the UK, specifically autism and non verbal, ideally within a school or nursery setting, but similar experience considered. Please note that only candidates with suitable UK experience and qualifications (Level 4 or above in HLTA, childcare/health and social/teaching assistant) will be considered for this post. Unsuitable candidates will not be contacted.
Pay would be around £110-£115 per day whilst working via agency, where you would be based at the school on a full time basis, Monday-Friday (8:30-3:30).
The successful candidate will essentially have:
- Experience working with children with SEND needs
- A suitable qualification (level 4 or degree in childcare, health and social, TA or similar)
- Clear DBS on the update service (If not, a DBS can be processed for a fee)
- 2 references that cover the past two years (one should ideally be childcare or education based)
- Full time availability and able to start ideally as soon as possible
Your responsibilities will be:
- To provide high quality learning support to young primary students with SEN
- Follow the instructions of the SEN teacher within the hub
- To provide positive behaviour management and social development of students
- To work in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the education of their children
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
