EN English Teacher – Walsall
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Start Date: September 2024 (or sooner if available)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you an experienced SEN English Teacher with a passion for supporting students with additional learning needs? Do you have experience delivering IGCSE English and the ability to adapt your teaching to meet diverse learning styles?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN English Teacher to join our supportive team at a specialist school in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to develop their literacy skills and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and accessible IGCSE English lessons tailored to students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students with learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs.
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent.
- Experience teaching IGCSE English (or GCSE English with a willingness to adapt to IGCSE).
- A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for inclusive education.
- The ability to engage and inspire students with a range of learning needs.
