CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a Special School based in Sheldon who are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant
About the role
The role is a temporary position supporting SEN Students with social, emotional and mental health needs ages 5-14.
Pay:
From £90 – £100 per day
What you’ll Do:
- Deliver personalised support to students with SEMH needs through one-to-one and small-group interventions.
- Support the class teacher in creating an engaging and fun learning space.
- Encourage students to build emotional resilience and adopt positive behavior strategies.
- Develop and implement tailored approaches to promote learning and personal growth
- Collaborate effectively with the teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure student success.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and an ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning.
