CERT Solutions are working with a large secondary school in South Birmingham who require a full-time Science Teacher to join their fantastic Girls school
About the role
The role is a temporary position as its covering an absent member of staff from February half term to April. You will be required to teach KS3 & 4. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher. You will be required to plan and mark lessons in line with the national curriculum. As you’ll be taking on the full teacher role, you will be paid to scale from day one of the booking in line with the teacher pay grades (MPS1 – UPS3)

The school is a large secondary based in the South side of Birmingham. They are rated Good by Ofsted and have great transport links as well as onsite parking.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for mathematics.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Science (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Biology specifically and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
