CERT Solutions are a family run 5* education agency that specialise in flexible day cover, short/long term roles, as well as fixed term contracts and permanent positions within schools!
We are working on behalf of an OFSTED rated OUTSTANDING secondary school near Solihull, looking for a PE teacher to teach across KS3/KS4 on a long term ongoing basis. This role is due to start ASAP, so the desired teacher needs to be able to start within the next couple of weeks.
To be considered you must have some experience teaching children/young people in the UK, ideally within a secondary school setting, but similar experience considered. Please note that only candidates with suitable UK experience and qualifications (QTS/QTLS) will be considered for this post. Unsuitable candidates will not be contacted.
Pay would be between £162-£220 per day depending on your experience and qualifications. Salary if offered a perm role expected to be MPS/UPS dependent on pay scale.
The successful candidate will essentially have:
- Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 PE
- PGCE with QTS/QTLS or similar (ECT’s considered)
- Clear DBS on the update service (If not, a DBS can be processed for a fee)
- 2 references that cover the past two years (one should ideally be childcare or education based)
- Full time availability and able to start immediately
Your responsibilities will be:
- To provide high quality learning and teaching within the School
- To lead Physical Education lessons across different classes/year groups
- To provide positive behaviour management and social development of students
- To work in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the education of their children
- To plan for PE lessons (KS3/4) and track students development
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
