Job Advertisement: PMLD Teacher (3 Days a Week)
Location: Special Educational Needs (SEN) School
Working Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Hours: 08:50 AM – 15:50 PM (Potential extension to 17:00 PM on Wednesdays for meetings/training)
Contract: Long-term, ongoing role
We are currently seeking a dedicated PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) Teacher to join our vibrant SEN school. This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity for an experienced teacher passionate about working with students who have complex and profound learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored and engaging lessons to students with PMLD.
- Plan and adapt learning activities to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Collaborate closely with support staff to create a supportive and nurturing environment.
- Participate in weekly teacher meetings and attend training sessions, which may extend the working day on Wednesdays until 17:00 PM.
- Monitor student progress, completing necessary documentation and assessments.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- DBS on update service (child and adult)
- Experience teaching students with PMLD and complex SEN needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a passion for making a positive impact in students’ lives.
