CERT Solutions are working with a great secondary school in North Birmingham who require a full-time Music Teacher to join their outstanding faculty.
About the role
The role is a full time teacher role where marking and planning are required. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher as the school are happy to sign off ECT’s. It is a full time position that starts ideally after February Half term. However, the head teacher has stated they’d take on someone earlier or later if it means taking on the best person!
The working hours are generally 08:20 – 15:45 however you may be required for extra curricular activities or parents evenings once every so often which will be paid on top of your daily rate.
A Bit about the school:
The school is a large secondary based in the North side of Birmingham near Aston. They are rated Outstanding by Ofsted and have great transport links as well as onsite parking.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade.
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative KS3 & KS4 Music lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for mathematics.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Music and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
