We are seeking a talented and dedicated Music Teacher to fill an immediate role in a secondary school, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is eager to nurture creativity and foster a love of music among secondary school students.
The Role:
As a music teacher in this secondary school, you will:
- Inspire and engage students: Develop a fun and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and express their musical talents.
- Plan and deliver lessons: Create and implement well-structured lessons that cover a broad range of musical styles, theory, and practical performance.
- Develop students’ skills: Foster musical understanding through teaching vocal skills, instrumental techniques, music theory, and appreciation of diverse genres.
- Organize performances and events: Encourage student participation in school concerts, talent shows, and other events, giving them the chance to showcase their skills.
- Assess and support students: Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor teaching to meet individual needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with the school community: Work alongside other teachers and staff to support cross-curricular initiatives and contribute to a vibrant school culture.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have a degree in music or a related field.
- Demonstrate experience teaching music to secondary school students (ages 11-16).
- Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Be enthusiastic, creative, and patient, with the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
- Be proactive in encouraging participation in extra-curricular musical activities.
Your responsibilities will be:
– To teach students to a high standard
– To support the other members of staff at the school
– Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
– Assessing, marking, and planning lesson for the students
– Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
