We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive school in Oldbury. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s learning and development journey, offering tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Encourage and support positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is essential.
- Education-related qualifications are not essential but highly desired for the role.
- Patience, empathy, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
