CERT Solutions are a family run 5* education agency that specialise in flexible day cover, short/long term roles, as well as fixed term contracts and permanent positions within schools!
We are working on behalf of an OFSTED rated OUTSTANDING special school near Great Barr, looking for a full time male teaching assistant with SEN experience.
To be considered you must have suitable experience supporting children/young people with SEND in the UK, with a suitable qualification (level 2 or higher in TA, childcare, health and social care or youth work). Please note that only candidates with suitable UK experience and qualifications will be considered for this post. Unsuitable candidates will not be contacted at this time.
Pay would be around £90 per day whilst working via agency, where you would be based at the school on a full time long term basis, Monday-Friday (8:30-3:30).
The successful candidate will essentially have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A suitable qualification (level 2, 3 or higher in TA, childcare, health and social care or youth work)
- Clear DBS on the update service (If not, a DBS can be processed for a fee)
- 2 references that cover the past two years (one should ideally be childcare or education based)
Your responsibilities will be:
- To help support children and young people with SEND (mixed ages)
- To provide positive behaviour management and social development of students
- To work in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the education of their children
- To demonstrate excellent time keeping skills and attendance
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils in your care always
