Description
CERT Solutions are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support a child at a SEN school in Halesowen.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive learning environment, helping to educate and nurture the children in their developmental journey. Team teach would also be great to have to fit in this role well.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience with SEN within a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering educational programmes tailored for children with special educational needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with autism, ensuring they are engaged and able to participate fully in classroom activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions and communication.
- Support the development of social skills through structured activities and play.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
Requirements
- Minimum UK Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other special educational needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to educate and engage children through creative teaching methods tailored to their individual learning styles.
- Patience and empathy when dealing with challenging behaviours or emotional situations.
