CERT Solutions are searching for an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Erdington.
This is a full-time position, starting after Easter 2025, offering a fantastic opportunity to support children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) with their academic, social, and emotional development.
The school are hoping to meet qualified staff ASAP with potential for an early start date depending on the candidates schedule.
About the Role:
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils who need additional help.
- Supporting children with their literacy and numeracy skills.
- Helping to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
- Assisting with marking, planning, and preparation of learning materials.
Requirements:
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience working with KS2 pupils in a school or educational setting.
- Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Be confident in supporting literacy and numeracy development.
- Have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
- Be patient, nurturing, and able to build positive relationships with children.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
