Are you a passionate ICT / Computer Science teacher looking for your next opportunity within a mainstream secondary school?
We are working with a forward-thinking school in Solihull seeking a dedicated and skilled teacher to inspire their students starting in January 2025 on a full time basis.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and effective ICT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Design and implement creative lesson plans that foster critical thinking and digital skills.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring all learners reach their potential.
- Contribute to the development of the ICT and Computer Science curriculum.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK.
- Able to teach Monday-Friday on a long term or permanent basis.
- Has a relevant degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the UK national curriculum for ICT and Computer Science.
- Possesses excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to the school’s values.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons tailored to varying abilities and interests.
- Use innovative teaching methods, including project-based learning and coding activities.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can flourish.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and practical projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and drive department success.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in ICT education and integrate them into your teaching.
