CERT Solutions are currently recruiting for a History Teacher to join a reputable school based in Birmingham, with the role starting ASAP or after the October half term. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, providing a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate students about the past, and to play a key role in their academic and personal development.
Role: History Teacher
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire students to develop an interest in history, covering topics from different historical periods, cultures, and perspectives.
- Planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring they are differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students to achieve their academic goals.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, discussion, and critical thinking.
- Utilizing a range of teaching strategies and resources to make history relevant and engaging for students.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement schemes of work, as well as participating in departmental meetings and school events.
- Supporting the wider school community by taking part in extracurricular activities, educational trips, and parent-teacher meetings as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in History or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching History at the secondary level (KS3/KS4) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to start immediately or after the October half term.
