Description
We are currently working with a special school in the Erdington area who have an exciting permanent post for a Head of English to join their growing school in the new year. The ideal candidate can start January2025 however, the school are willing to wait for the right candidate if current notice is required. The school cater for students with Autism and other learning difficulties with a small amount of students with SEMH. The lead for Teaching and Learning would like to meet interested candidates as soon as possible and offer tour around the school.
Special school experience isn’t a must for this post but having a passion to work with special educational needs is required.
The role:
- Head of English
- KS3 & KS4
- Full time – Permanent
- Low ability to GCSE level
- January 2025 start or later depending on notice period
Requirements:
- UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in English
- Interest in special schools
