CERT Solutions are a family run 5* education agency that specialise in flexible day cover, short/long term roles, as well as fixed term contracts and permanent positions within schools!
We are working on behalf of an OFSTED rated OUTSTANDING mainstream secondary school near the Aston area, who require a full time long term Geography Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4.
You would be leading lessons in mainstream secondary schools across KS3 and KS4 on a long term ongoing basis (you would have planning and marking responsibilities).
To be considered you must have a UK teaching degree, with some experience teaching Geography GCSE or A-level. Unsuitable candidates will not be contacted at this time.
Pay would be around £165-£230 per day whilst working via agency, where you will be in control over what long term assignments you accept.
The successful candidate will essentially have:
- Some experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Geography
- A PGCE or equivalent with QTS/QTLS/PTTLS
- Clear DBS on the update service required (If not, a DBS can be processed for a fee)
- 2 references that cover the past two years (additional refs can also be used to cover gaps)
Your responsibilities will be:
- To provide Geography cover for KS3 and KS4 on an ongoing basis
- To provide positive behaviour management and social development of students
- To work in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the education of their children
- To demonstrate excellent time keeping skills and attendance
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
