A well-regarded secondary school in Stourbridge is looking for a dynamic and inspiring QTS-qualified English Teacher to join their team from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the learning journey of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, encouraging their love for English and helping them reach their full potential.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. You will work as part of a dedicated and supportive department, developing creative curriculum content that caters to a range of abilities and instills a passion for literature, language, and writing. This role involves:
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Encouraging and supporting students to achieve their academic goals and develop essential skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
- Collaborating with colleagues to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Assessing and tracking student progress, ensuring they are set on a path for success.
What We’re Looking For:
- QTS qualification in English or a related field.
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to engage and motivate students at both KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for literature, language, and developing students’ critical and creative skills.
