Job Title: Secondary School English Teacher (5 Days Per Week)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English teacher to join our agency for a fantastic opportunity at a reputable secondary school. This role involves working 5 days per week, starting immediately. If you are enthusiastic about inspiring young minds and have a deep love for the English language, we would love to hear from you!
Role and Responsibilities:
As an English teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping students’ learning experiences and academic growth. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Your main duties will include:
- Planning and Delivering Lessons: Create dynamic and interactive lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities, aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assessing and Providing Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress through various forms of assessment, provide constructive feedback, and set achievable targets for improvement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering respect, discipline, and motivation among students.
- Supporting Student Development: Identify and support students who may need additional help, differentiating lessons to meet individual needs and ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.
- Collaborating with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Engaging with Parents and Guardians: Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding students’ progress, achievements, and any areas of concern.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and initiatives that enrich students’ educational experiences beyond the classroom.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in English or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level (Key Stages 3 and 4).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
