The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Design & Technology teacher to join our school full-time from January 2025. You will play a key role in delivering a dynamic curriculum that ignites students’ creativity, hones their technical skills, and prepares them for an evolving technological world.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for design and innovation.
- Plan and assess projects in line with the national curriculum, integrating modern tools and sustainable practices.
- Inspire and challenge students of all abilities, cultivating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive workshop environment, promoting health and safety standards.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Design & Technology or a related field.
- A proven track record of delivering impactful teaching and achieving excellent outcomes.
- Passion for D&T, with expertise in one or more areas such as resistant materials, graphics, electronics, or textiles.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire both students and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional growth and embracing innovative teaching practices.
