CERT Solutions are a family run 5* education agency that specialise in flexible day cover, short/long term roles, as well as fixed term contracts and permanent positions within schools!
We are working on behalf of an OFSTED rated GOOD and OUTSTANDING mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham, Sandwell, Dudley & Kidderminster, who require support covering internal staff absences.
You would be leading lessons in mainstream secondary schools across KS3 and KS4 on a general cover basis (meaning lessons are already pre-planned/work provided for students). A training document will be sent out to candidates who would like to familiarise themselves with the roles and responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor.
To be considered you must have a UK Degree, with some form of work experience (in any capacity) with young people in UK. Unsuitable candidates will not be contacted at this time.
Pay would be around £100-£110 per day whilst working via agency, where you will be in control over what bookings you accept each week. Longer term cover at one school is also available for the right candidates!
The successful candidate will essentially have:
- Some experience tutoring, mentoring or caring for children or young people
- A Degree (UK) in any subject and willing to provide general cover for local secondary schools
- Clear DBS on the update service required (If not, a DBS can be processed for a fee)
- 2 references that cover the past two years (one can be a university reference)
Your responsibilities will be:
- To provide general cover for pre-planned lessons (can be any subject) in the absence of the class teacher
- To hand out the work that has been left by the class teacher to students, leading the lesson for the day
- To provide positive behaviour management and social development of students
- To work in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the education of their children
- To demonstrate excellent time keeping skills and attendance
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
