Permanent SEN Teacher (KS3 & ASD Specialist)

Cert Solutions is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Handsworth. This permanent role is focused on working with KS3 students with ASD in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and tailored lessons to meet the needs of KS3 students with ASD.
- Build positive relationships with students, creating a classroom atmosphere that is relatable, engaging, and fun.
- Develop individual learning plans to help each pupil reach their potential.
- Establish strong communication and collaboration with parents, ensuring regular updates and offering support when needed.
- Collaborate with the wider school team to deliver a comprehensive approach to learning and behaviour management.
Person Specification:
- Experience Required: Proven experience teaching KS3 students with ASD in a SEN or mainstream setting.
- Interpersonal Skills: Warm, approachable, and skilled in building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Engaging Personality: Able to make learning fun and relatable to support students’ social and academic development.
- Parent Communication: Confident in maintaining open, positive, and professional communication with parents and carers.
