CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a secondary school based in Wednesbury who require a full-time Art Teacher to join their outstanding faculty.
About the role
The role is a part time, 3 days per week. Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
You will only be required to teach KS3 and KS4. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher.
A Bit about the school:
The Academy is an 11-16 Special day School situated in Wednesbury.
All pupils currently on role have a statement of special educational needs or an Education Health and Care Plan along with a diagnosis of ASC. The school provides places for children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade – SEN allowance will also be added
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for mathematics.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Art (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background in Art and Design and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
