CERT Solutions are working in partnership with a great secondary school in Birmingham who require a full-time Art & Design Teacher who can also cover a small portion of textiles.
About the role
The role is a temporary position as its covering an absent member of staff, however it will be full time to the end of the academic year.
You will only be required to teach KS3 and KS4. This may be the perfect opportunity for an ECT as well as well-established teacher.

The school is a large secondary based near Quinton. They are rated Good by Ofsted and have great transport links as well as onsite parking.
Pay:
Paid to scale MPS1 – UPS3 (£162 – £251 per day PAYE) depending on your current pay grade
What you’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative KS3 & 4 lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Supportive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to contribute to the school’s vibrant academic community.
- Be a mentor and guide for students, nurturing their curiosity and love for mathematics.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification with a focus on Art & Design or Design & Technology (Bachelor’s in Education, PGCE, or QTS or QTLS).
- A strong background teaching and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to continually improve teaching practices.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
