SEN Teacher (Full-time, Part-time or Flexible)

Working Hours: Between 8:30am-4pm (shorter hours may be available)

Location: We work with SEN schools across most of Birmingham and Sandwell, as well as parts of Coventry. We specialise in flexible day cover, short term assignments, long term roles as well as permanent contracts.

We are seeking experienced SEN Teachers to join our agency on a full-time or part-time basis, either supporting at one particular setting on an ongoing basis or covering at various local schools in your area. The successful candidates will be responsible for planning and delivering a creative and engaging curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) – EY,KS1,KS2,KS3,KS4,KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that all students are making progress.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and outside agencies, to support the needs of our students with SEN.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and participating in regular meetings with parents and other professionals to discuss student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching students with SEN.
  • A strong understanding of SEN and a passion for helping students with additional needs achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new strategies and techniques to support students with SEN.
