Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision (KS4 & KS5, SEMH Needs)

Location: Quinton
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £95-100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? CERT Solutions requires an SEMH Teaching Assistant to start after the February half-term!

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision, supporting students in Key Stages 4 & 5. This is a long-term opportunity for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, helping students reach their full potential.

The Role:

Supporting students with SEMH needs in a small group or 1:1 setting
Assisting with academic work and emotional regulation
Implementing behaviour management strategies
Encouraging engagement and building confidence
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

Requirements:

Experience working with students with SEMH needs (preferred)
Strong behaviour management skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Ability to build positive relationships with students
A proactive and adaptable approach
