As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children with their daily routine at school including activities, meal times and outdoor play. The activities carried out at school are with the focus of helping children with additional needs, to communicate effectively, to manage their emotions and to develop their independence.

You will work alongside various staff members and teachers to support each pupil with their personalised learning plans and cater to their individual needs.

Requirements

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Be available Monday to Friday 8.30-3.30. Part time and full time roles are available.
  • Follow instructions from teachers to support effectively in the classroom.
  • Be passionate about changing the lives of young people with additional needs.
  • Someone who is confident with managing students who may be more challenging.
  • Support the student on 1:1 basis, adapting your approach on a case-by-case basis to engage students effectively. Some children might need support with personal care.

All rates are inclusive of holiday pay.
