CERT Solutions are searching for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming one form-entry primary school in Ladywood.

This role involves providing one-to-one support for two autistic boys: one in Year 2 during the morning and another in Year 4 in the afternoon.

As the children have specific needs, the ideal candidate will ideally have experience within SEN schools, but at least have worked long term in a similar role within a mainstream primary school.

The role is full time and would be long term for the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Implement strategies to enhance learning and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the SENCO.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (essential).
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-specific training) is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check).

If this sounds like the role for you, please get in contact with Matt on 0121 728 6677 or send across your up to date CV to matthew@cert-solutions.co.uk.
