CERT Solutions are looking for a caring individual to work in a primary school on a 1:1 basis with a child with complex autism.

The primary school we are working with is a two-form entry school based in Handsworth, who have a warm and welcoming staff base. The role would be working closely with the SENCO to ensure the child’s needs are being met to the highest standard and ensuring that engagement with all learning activities remains consistent throughout the school day.

Starting in January 2025, this full time, long term position requires a candidate with previous experience working within either primary or SEN schools with children who have complex ASC, ADHD or behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting an individual student with ASC on a one-to-one basis.
  • Working closely with the SENCO to implement the EHCP for the child.
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant UK Level 2 or 3 Qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (preferably ASC) is essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
