CERT Solutions are a family run 5* education agency that specialise in flexible day cover, short/long term roles, as well as fixed term contracts and permanent positions also. We work with a mix of primary, secondary, PRU and SEN settings across Birmingham/Sandwell/Dudley and surrounding areas.
We are working with an SEN school near the Perry Common area, that are looking for a Head of English to join the team on a long term basis. They may also have permanent positions available for the right candidates!
To be considered you must have a experience working with SEN, a UK teaching qualification with QTS/QTLS or similar. The position is due to start in January 2025 and is an ongoing long term role. If you are a SEN English Teacher looking to progress, or are already part of middle leadership team looking for your next role, we would love to hear from you!
The successful candidate will essentially have:
- UK teaching degree and UK work experience with children/young people with SEN
- Clear DBS on the update service (If not, a DBS can be applied for)
- Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum
- Knowledge of UK SEND curriculum would be helpful
- Availability to work between 8:30-3:30 Mon – Fri
Your responsibilities will be:
- To teach students to a high standard in mainstream secondary
- Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
- Cover class teacher absences (could be short or long term)
