CERT Solutions are looking for talented childcare practitioners, teaching assistants and healthcare professionals with experience working with Autism to help support a special school in Harborne.
Whether you are wanting full time, looking to work around studies/childcare or perhaps just looking for more flexibility in life and getting paid for the days you choose to work each week. You are able to manage your own work life balance, by only accepting bookings that suit you. You are able to work 1 day a week, 5 days a week, or anything in between, we can help you gain a sense of control over your own work schedule. The majority of students within this school have multiple conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attachment disorder, severe anxiety, mental health difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, epilepsy and other moderate health difficulties.
As a result of the complexity of their learning needs, some students may have difficulty managing their behaviour. When entering the school in Year 7 most students will be working at levels equivalent to mainstream students from Key Stage 1 onwards. A small proportion of students will be working close to national expectations in some or most subjects.
About the Role:
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working with 11-16 year olds with autism working at KS1 level
- Flexible cover or long term positions available
- ASAP or Jan 2025 starts
Requirements:
- Level 2/3 or above in teaching assistant/childcare/youth work/health & social
- Possess experience working with children/young people in UK (reference required)
- Full enhanced DBS on update service (or we can process one for a fee)
- Possesses excellent classroom management skills and knowledge of SEN
- Available to work in Harborne (full time or flexible)
