Job Advertisement: Religious Education Teacher – Perry Barr (January 2025 Start)
CERT Solutions is seeking a dedicated and qualified Religious Education (RE) Teacher to work with a reputable school near Perry Barr starting from January 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RE teacher or an enthusiastic educator looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.
The Role
As an RE Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that foster understanding and respect for a variety of religious beliefs, ethics, and philosophies.
- Plan and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages critical thinking, discussion, and reflection.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Promote the school’s ethos of inclusion, respect, and academic excellence.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- A degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching RE at secondary school level (KS3-KS4). Experience teaching at KS5 is desirable but not essential.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications for QTS RE Teacher
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject.
- Completion of a recognized Initial Teacher Training (ITT) program, such as a PGCE, School Direct, or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the QTS Skills Tests (literacy and numeracy).
- Relevant teaching experience through placements or previous roles.
