Our agency is thrilled to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Moseley, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher. This exciting opportunity begins January 2025 and will be a full time.

The Role

As a Health & Social Care Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to excel in Health & Social Care.
  • Teach across Key Stages 4 and 5, including preparation for vocational qualifications such as BTEC or similar.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best teaching practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and tailored to diverse student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and report on progress.
  • Contribute to school initiatives and extracurricular activities that promote student well-being and personal growth.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and uphold the highest professional standards.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in a relevant subject such as Health & Social Care, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Health & Social Care at secondary level (KS4/KS5).
  • A solid understanding of the UK education system and curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications for QTS

To be eligible as a QTS-qualified teacher, you must have completed a teacher training program, such as:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • School Direct or SCITT (School-Centered Initial Teacher Training)
  • Teach First or similar accredited routes
