Are you an experienced automotive professional with a passion for teaching? We’re recruiting for a full-time Automotive Lecturer role at a leading college, starting ASAP. About the Role:

As an Automotive Lecturer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of students pursuing careers in the automotive industry. This position requires teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of vehicle maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and automotive technologies. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and preparing learners for their qualifications and future employment in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess students on various automotive subjects, including engine mechanics, diagnostics, electrical systems, and motor vehicle repair.
  • Develop lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations in workshop environments, guiding students through practical tasks.
  • Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
  • Prepare students for qualifications such as NVQs, BTECs, or other vocational automotive qualifications.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and tools in the workshop, following health and safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on advancements in automotive technologies and industry practices.
  • Support the overall development of students’ employability skills, preparing them for the automotive workforce.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Industry experience in automotive mechanics, vehicle diagnostics, or related fields.
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Passion for educating and mentoring students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire learners.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and maintaining industry standards.
  • Prior experience teaching or training in an educational or workplace setting is highly desirable.
