Are you passionate about inspiring young minds in the field of Health & Social Care? Our agency is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Health & Social Care teacher to fill a full-time position at a secondary school. This role is available immediately, and you’ll be working 5 days per week.
About the Role:
As a Health & Social Care teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of students by teaching them key skills and knowledge about the health and social care sector. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover a broad range of topics such as human development, healthcare practices, safeguarding, and social care principles.
- Supporting students in their understanding of the subject, ensuring they meet curriculum requirements and achieve their full potential.
- Assessing and providing feedback on students’ work, helping them to refine their skills and knowledge.
- Encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of theory to real-world situations in health and social care settings.
- Collaborating with other staff and departments to ensure the smooth running of the curriculum and the overall development of the students.
- Creating an inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care at secondary level (KS4 and KS5).
- A strong understanding of the health and social care sector, with the ability to make the subject accessible and engaging for students.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for helping young people develop both academically and personally.
