CERT Solutions are looking for Unqualified Supply Teachers to help support mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham and Sandwell with daily, short term and long term cover. We also get permanent positions in for those who are looking for stability.
Daily supply work may appeal to individuals who are looking for a flexible work life balance, as working on supply you are able to pick what days you are available.
Furthermore, as the lessons are already pre-planned by the class teacher, there will be no need for you to plan or mark. Simply a case of covering the lesson, ensuring strong classroom management and supporting students.
To be considered as a Cover Supervisor you would need to hold a UK degree (any subject), and ideally UK work experience in relation to children/young people.
It would be perfect for individuals who are aspiring to become a secondary school teacher/work with young people in future.
It is also a great way of gaining experience on a part time or full time basis whilst still in education or maybe taking a gap year.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualification: UK degree (any subject) required
- At least 3 months experience of working/volunteering with young people in UK
- Clear DBS on the update service (If not, a DBS can be applied for)
- References (professional or uni) that cover the past 2 years
Your responsibilities will be:
- To teach students to a high standard (providing sick cover)
- To provide general cover or specific subject cover to local schools
- Follow the behavioural policies set by the school
- Ensuring the safeguarding of pupils always
