We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our agency, with an exciting opportunity to work 5 days per week at a vibrant secondary school. This position is available to start ASAP (or from October Half term), offering the perfect opportunity for a motivated individual to make an immediate impact in the classroom.
About the Role:
Location: Moseley, Birmingham
As a secondary school Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students’ understanding and enthusiasm for mathematics. You will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to students with diverse abilities, ensuring they develop strong foundational skills in mathematics.
- Preparing students for exams by teaching core mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics, in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitoring student progress through assessments, classwork, and homework, offering timely feedback and tailored support where needed.
- Encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills, helping students apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
- Working with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development, ensuring that each pupil can reach their full potential.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
- Ability to start immediately or after October Half Term
