Position: Business Studies Teacher
Location: Secondary School in Birmingham
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (M1 – M6 PAYE)
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of business leaders? Do you have the skills to engage and motivate students to achieve their best? We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join our agency, with an immediate role available at a well-regarded secondary school.
About the Role:
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the academic and personal development of students. You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cover the Business Studies curriculum, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Inspiring students: Foster a passion for business, finance, and entrepreneurship, encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of business concepts.
- Assessing and monitoring progress: Use a variety of assessment methods to track student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to ensure all students achieve their potential.
- Creating a positive learning environment: Establish a classroom environment that is supportive, inclusive, and conducive to learning, where students feel confident to participate and express their ideas.
- Developing real-world skills: Equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to understand the business world, preparing them for further education and future careers.
- Contributing to school life: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to the development of business-related extracurricular activities, and support the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Business Studies to KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 students, following the national curriculum.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining high standards of discipline and respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Business Studies curriculum and share best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business education trends and exam specifications.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Business Studies in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential; newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
