We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our agency and work full-time at a vibrant secondary school. This role is available for an immediate start and offers a chance to make a real impact on students’ education.

About the Role:

  • Position: Humanities Teacher (Geography/History or RE Experience)
  • Location: Secondary School based in Birmingham
  • Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Long-term with potential for permanency

Key Responsibilities:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students’ understanding of the world around them through subjects like History, Geography, Religious Studies, and Social Sciences. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Lessons: Develop engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and inspire a love for Humanities subjects.
  • Assessing and Supporting Students: Monitor student progress through regular assessments, providing constructive feedback and support to help each student reach their potential.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters respect among students.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with other teachers to develop curriculum content that is current, relevant, and aligned with the national education standards.
  • Pastoral Care: Act as a mentor and guide to students, supporting their academic and personal growth within the school community.

About You:

We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Humanities Teacher who:

  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Has experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary level
  • Is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality education
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Can inspire students and make learning engaging and accessible for all
