Description
CERT Solutions are seeking to appoint a Primary SEN Teacher in an ASC specialist school in Birmingham. The school has a number of children with EHCP’s and are looking to appoint someone who has relevant skills and experience in this area.
This role would involve working in a resource provision centre supporting children with special educational needs such as autism and speech, language and communication difficulties. The class is small and requires a teacher who can deliver a heavily personalised primary curriculum, as well as close pastoral support.
The position is a full-time role and due to start in September 2024.
The successful candidate will:
- Be, or have aspirations to be, an outstanding practitioner
- Have experience of working across the primary age range, as the role is a teacher for all children who range from Year 3 to Year 6
- Be skilled at tailoring and adapting learning to meet the needs of individual pupils
- Have a passion for and experience of working with learners with complex communication difficulties, such as ASC
- Be enthusiastic, hardworking, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are attained.
- Have high expectations of the children’s learning and behaviour and are committed to raising standards.
- Use their initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for their children.
- Is an enthusiastic and imaginative individual, who will create a stimulating and vibrant learning environment
